Three summers ago my husband, my dog, and I took a road trip from California to Colorado and back again.  We (OK, I) decided to do a fun little scavenger hunt throughout our journey.  First, my husband and I made a list of all the things we wanted to accomplish and see while on our trip.  Then I put them in order of likelihood we would accomplish each task.  I then used cardstock to make a checkoff list, and then made small signs to go with each task.  This would make a great project for children to do!

Don’t forget to bring a Sharpie and a few extra squares and don’t be afraid to add a few impromptu adventures to your list as you go!  Our plans may have changed a few times throughout our journey, but we will always remember our amazing road trip to Colorado!
